From November 15, 2009 through January 4, 2010, White Eagle Credit Union conducted an online survey. The following are quotes from members who participated in our online survey who told us what they think is the biggest difference between a traditional financial institution such as a bank versus White Eagle Credit Union.
"Putting people first. I moved to Manhattan and still cannot get myself to part from this bank! It would be smart for me to change banks, but everything is just done right at WECU, I can't go!"
"The personal service and attention."
"They know you when you walk in the door and are always friendly. They never make you feel like you are a burden to help."
"You are not just a number. The people really get to know you and make you feel comfortable."
"Friendly service."
"Hometown feel - local feeling."
"The custom service here is exceptional. I will never go to another bank. Ever!"
"I feel like a friend when I walk into White Eagle Credit Union and that everyone knows who I am, wherease at a bank, I feel like I am just another account number. Thank you for that."
"Traditional banks are so large now that they have no time to deal with you or your 'minor' requests. White Eagle listens to me."
"Best rates anywhere."
"It is more a one on one experience. Whether you come inside or through the drive thru, you are always greeted with a smile and they call you by your name."
"Loan department is easy to work with."
"When I call, I get a person rather than a huge recorded message. We recently had a vehicle totaled and in speaking with the insurance adjuster regarding the payoff, he was delighted that the loan was with White Eagle because everyone is so helpful and easy to work with as compared to other financial institutions with whom he has had to work when getting payoffs. You guys rock!"
"The credit union cares, the bank usually only pretends to care."
"You are so more personable. We don’t have to get upset at the CEO for the ungodly salary as you see on the news."
"I am a share holder and in essence an owner."
"Folksy familiar service."
"The people ‘make the difference.'"
